The aim of Mega Jacks Video Poker is to obtain a 5-card poker hand containing a winning combination. The better your hand, the better the payout! You select how many cards and which of your cards are to be replaced. You can only replace your cards once.

Progressive Jackpot
A small percentage of each bet you place goes into the Progressive Jackpot pool. The current size of the Jackpot pool appears on the red scrollbar at the top of the machine. You will win the Jackpot when you get a Royal Flush while playing for Max Bet.

How To Play MegaJacks
To choose the amount you want to bet, click Bet One or Bet Max. Every click on the Bet One button will increase your bet by 25?. Pressing Bet Max will increase your bet to the maximum amount possible - that is 5 x 25? - and will deal the cards automatically. You may also click the appropriate column on the winnings table to specify your bet size. If you did not press Bet Max then Click Deal.

Select which cards you want to keep by pressing the Hold button underneath the card, or click on the card itself. Click Deal to replace the cards that you did not select to hold.

The lowest winning combination is a pair of Jacks:
a pair of any lower cards such as Tens is not a winning combination,
a pair of any higher cards such as Queens is a winning combination.
If you don't get a winning combination, the round is over and you can begin again.

Doubling
Should you get a winning hand, you may accept the win by pressing Collect. You also have the option to Double it. If you choose to Double, the Dealer will draw an open card, and you are given 4 unexposed cards to choose between. If you select a card that is lower than the Dealer's, you will lose your original win. ,If the cards are equal, it will be a tie, and you have the choice of collecting your original winnings. Press Collect or Double again. If your card is higher, you win Double the amount of your original winnings. You can then choose to collect your winnings or Double even further.

You may also choose to Half Double, meaning that you only Double for a half of your winning amount, while the remainder gets awarded to your account balance. Should your winning amount exceed 2 000, then you cannot Double or Half Double. You may move the Double window (if enabled from the Options section) by dragging it with the mouse. Doubling is a separate game round. During doubling, the Bet meter shows the amount wagered for Doubling: the full or half of the previous round's win amount. The Win meter shows the win amount of the current round.
